Azerbaijan plans to reconsider the structure of the consumer basket this year, said Chingiz Tagiyev, Officer of the Labor Unions Confederation.
"Under subsistence wage law, the basket of consumer goods has to be reconsidered every three years. A General Collective Agreement for 2008-2009 will be signed by the Cabinet, Labor Unions Confederation and Azerbaijan National Confederation of Entrepreneurs,” he added.

Saying that the consumer basket currently contains foodstuffs, nonfoods, services, taxes and compulsory insurance payments, he added that it is not possible to say which structural changes will be made.
