Activity of Internet-cafes restored in Nakhchivan, Azerbaijan

Information about shutdown of all internet-cafes in Nakhchivan was spread yesterday on March 6.

As is reported, the leadership of the Autonomous Republic has permitted activity of all internet-cafes without exception.

Though only a week has passed since the shutdown of all internet-cafes in Nakhchivan, the cause of it is still unclear.

Day.Az reports with reference to Azadlyg radio that according to cafe owners the lack of official order on the said issue has led them to a dead end.

According to entrepreneurs, the review of "unnecessary" websites in the cafes is said to be an unofficial cause of their shutdown.

However, they consider it to be groundless.

First of all, special programs reducing possible access to "unnecessary" websites has been set in the cafes.

Second, if the said websites are visited from the cafes, the due bodies could hold a monitoring there and punish cafe owners. The shutdown of all internet-cafes, except one or two, prove existence of other versions, according to entrepreneurs.

The entrepreneurs do not rule out that officials, engaged in business and interested in raising their profits, have a hand in it.
