1,300,000 tourists per year=148 tourists per hour every day

The due announcement was made by Elchin Gafarov, expert of internal tourism department under the head tourism department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Last year 1,300,000 foreign tourists visited Azerbaijan last year.

We will not comment on the information of Mr.Gafarov, which he presented in Echo, and will just carry out simple arithmetic operations:

1,300,000 tourists per year=3,561 tourist per day=148 tourists per hour.

Thus, 148 tourists visited Azerbaijan each hour and each day in 2007.

The truthfulness of this figure can be judged by readers. It should be noted that according to the said material, Azerbaijan plans to accept 3,000,000 tourists per year in the future.
