Azerbaijani Ambassador to US makes report on "Development of a Stable Global Energy Policy" in Texas

Yashar Aliyev, Azerbaijani ambassador to the United States opened a student conference on national issues, held in one of the oldest and leading universities of the United States-Texas University A&M with his report on energy security on February 21.

The due information was provided by a source from the Azerbaijani embassy to the United States.

The conference "Development of a Stable Global Energy Policy", devoted to one of the most urgent issues of the contemporary world, brought students from more than 50 US universities together.

In his speech, Y.Aliyev stressed the importance of energy security, touched upon the bilateral US-Azerbaijani cooperation, including, in the sphere of energy, Azerbaijan's contribution to ensuring energy security and implementation of large infrastructural projects, such as Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan and Baku-Tbilisi-Erzirum pipelines. THe ambassador answered to numerous questions of participants.

During the visit, the Azerbaijani ambassador visited the Fund of Presidential Library named after the 41st president of the United States Georgie Bush, presidential library and museum locating in the Texas University A&M and met with their heads. Aliyev also held talks with the leadership of the Texas University A&M and the Collage of Public Administration named after Georgia Bush and Scowcroft Institute for International Affairs under the Texas university.

The Azerbaijani ambassador was accompanied by Greg Laflin, graduate of the Texas University A&M and former US congressmen.
