One more footbridge under construction in Baku, Azerbaijan

Construction of the second footbridge has commenced in Baku, Punhan Mursaliyev, spokesman for the State Company Azeri Road Service State Company, said.

The bridge, which is being constructed at Azadlig Avenue, will have four escalators at the two ends.

The construction is carried out by Turkey’s Net Yapi. The bridge is slated to open in May or June.

The first foot bridge opened at Heydar Aliyev Avenue in December, 2007.

5 overpasses and bridges, 1 road tunnel and 6 pedestrian crossings (5 tunnels and 1 footbridge) have been commissioned in Baku.
