Belarus to follow Azerbaijan's experience in radiation safety

We are interested in your experience in the sphere of radiation safety and the cooperation is also important for strengthening potentials of emergency services". Prime Minister of Belarus Sergey Sidorsky said during the meeting with Azerbaijan's Minister of Emergency Situations Kemaleddin Heydarov in Minsk.

In turn, Heydarov regarded the cooperation between the emergency services of the two countries as effective. He thanked Belarus for training 50 Azerbaijani specialists in the Institute of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Minsk.

Azerbaijan's Minister of Emergency Situations also expressed interest in the purchase of Belarus building materials. "We would like to attract Belarus constructors and are interested in purchasing building materials", the Minister of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan said.

He also announced that in the next 2 days Azerbaijani specialists will visit Belarus plants, producing building materials.

Azerbaijan occupies the sixth place in the external trade of Belarus among the CIS states. Through 11 months of the last year, the commodity turnover made up $81.9 million which is 2.5 points rise as compared to the same period of 2006. For Belarus, the trade balance was positive in the amount of $76.6 million.
