Azerbaijan likely to export natural gas to Iran

Azerbaijan may export natural gas to Iran in the near future, Azerigaz president Alikhan Malikov said.

“Azerbaijan has enough gas to meet its inner demand. There are views that Azerbaijan will export natural gas to Iran. Perhaps, this issue will be considered in the nearest future,” he added.

Azerbaijan stopped importing natural gas from Russia on January 1, 2007.
