SOCAR receives first dividend from Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan project

The due information has been provided by the press service for the fund.

As is reported, the first dividend in the amount of $16.5 million due to Azerbaijan from the BTC project was paid to the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan on January 16, by results of 2007.

The receipt of the first dividend in the first year following the inauguration of the BTC pipeline in 2006, evidences the effectiveness of the project for the supply of Azerbaijan's hydrocarbons to the world market.

The payment of dividends has been envisioned in the SOFAR budget for 2008.
