03 May 2007 [17:46] - TODAY.AZ
Today, the officials of Azerbaijan's Economic Development Ministry and Belarus' Trade Ministry have come together in Baku to discuss business relations between the two countries.

Azeri Economic Development Minister Heydar Babayev said they are studying the prospects of cooperation in the fields ranging from military sector to agriculture sphere.

"The two countries are enjoying good trade relations," he said.

Belarus' Trade Minister Aleksandr Ivanchenko said the focus is on implementation of the activities coming from the presidential agreements.

It was agreed at the meeting that the two countries will carry out trade through Belarus-Azerbaijan Trade House.

Heydar Babayev said in autumn Belarus will host an exhibition of goods and services produced in Azerbaijan and this event will further deepen and expand relations among the producers of the both countries.

Belarus offers low-priced goods of light industry to Azerbaijan. Aleksandr Ivanchenko said his country's keen interest to delivery of Azeri oil to Europe via Belarus still stands.

"We are setting up a working group. We are far from political games we are purely engaged in business," he noted.

He added that Belarus owns high-capacity refineries and can process Azeri crude oil at any amount, APA reports.
