Baku to host 2nd International Congress on Caucasus and Central Asia in Globalization Process

The congress will be organized by Gafgaz University and will cover discussions on economic and international relations in the region, finance and global investments issues.

Opening the conference president of Gafgaz University Ahmed Sanich noted importance of analyzing the place and role of Central Asia and Caucasus in globalizing world.

"That is why the university will organize this congress as the continuation of the 1st International Conference organized by the university in 2003. 20 of 200 reports presented to the congress, which is organized on the occasion of 15th anniversary of Cag Education Company, have been developed by foreign scientists. The materials are published in three languages," he said.

Then TIKA Baku Program Coordinator Serhat Kuchukkurt, TUSIAB Management Staff Chairman Batachar Baysal, President of Azerbaijan Tourism Institute Jafar Jafarov and others made statement.

The congress is also organized by economic development, industry and energy, education ministries, TUSIAB, TIKA, Azerbaijan's National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations and Azerbaijan Tourism Institute. The statement will be made in four languages- Azerbaijani, Turkish, Russian and English languages. The opening ceremony of the congress will be held on May 2 at 16.00 in Azerbaijan State Philharmony.
