ITU accepts Azerbaijan's satellite launch bid

The international Telecommunication Union has accepted Azerbaijan's bid for launching its own satellite.

The bid will be released among satellite companies from March 20.

A number of companies applied to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies for participation in the project. These bids are now under consideration.

The Ministry is searching for financial resources to fund the $80-100m project.

During the last year's meeting, the Ministry decided to launch a small satellite. AzerTAg
