Azerbaijan to have electronic money transfer with France, Estonia, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan

In the nearest future Azerbaijan will have electronic money transfer with France, Estonia, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.

Communications and Information Technologies Ministry Officer Novruz Mammadov told that Azerbaijan has already inked an agreement with Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.

He said Azerbaijan has technical potential for electronic money transfer while the said countries lack internal network for the system.

Azerbaijan has electronic money transfer with over 15 countries, including Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Kazakhstan, and UAE.

Azerbaijan carries out international electronic transfer after joining STEFI in 2004 while internal system has operated since 2002, APA reports.
