27 January 2007 [02:01] - TODAY.AZ
Iranian ambassador to Azerbaijan Afshar Suleymani met with Minister of Agriculture Ismet Abbasov.

Suleymani presented Iranian minister of agriculture Mehemmedrza Isgenderi's invitation to the 3rd summit of agriculture ministers of Economic Cooperation Organization member states in Tehran.

Suleymani stated that cooperation with Iran in agricultural field is very successful.

"Iran produces 14m tones of wheat annually. Iran has potential to export agricultural products. Iran should use Azerbaijan's large potentials to improve cooperation in agricultural field," he said.

Ismet Abbasov said that Iranian businessmen can participate in the tenders and projects.

"Law doesn't forbid it. Considering that agriculture becomes privatized in Azerbaijan, business people of both countries may have wide cooperation," he said. APA
