Georgia to import Azeri gas from Jan. 10

Georgia will buy 3 cubic meters of Azeri gas per day from January 10 through 20.

After January 20, Georgia will continue to import 1 million cu m of Azeri gas per day, Georgian Energy Ministry told APA bureau.

Azerbaijan will charge Tbilisi $120 per 1,000 cubic meters of gas in early year. Georgia is to buy 250m cu m of gas from Shah Deniz Field, 0.8 billion cu m out of Turkey's quota in 2007.

Russia's gas monopoly Gazprom has contracted with four companies in Georgia to deliver a total of 1.1 billion cubic meters of gas in 2007 for USD 235 per 1000 cubic meters.

Georgian Energy Ministry said some 1.8 billion cubic meters of natural gas or 2007.
