Collection of gas bills from population reaches 48.9% in Jan-Sep

Azerigas provided 3.278bn cu m of gas costing AZN 153.785m for customers while gas bills of AZN 75.217m were collected which makes up 48.9% of the sold consumer gas, Azerigas chairman Alikhan Malikov told a press conference today, APA reports.

He says the rate of collection was 16% in January while it reached 72.4% in September.

During this period capital construction for laying 182km long pipeline spent AZN 14.335m and the capital repairs of 16.3km pipeline spent AZN 1.996m.

30 000 new customers were supplied with gas as a result of these activities.

590 new jobs were created in Azerigas of which 225 are temporary.
He says AZN 14.6m (10.272m from the State Budget) will be used to improve provision of suburban areas. &5 projects will be implemented for this purpose of which 23 have been carried out.
