State Customs Committee publishes new statistics

A total number of declarations is 7 385 more in comparison with that of the corresponding period last year.

The amount of trade operations that residents and non-residents of Azerbaijan conducted with 123 countries totaled USD 5041698,6 thousand for six months this year, State Customs Committee said. 1675 items of goods worth USD 2924059,1 thousand were exported and 4979 items worth USD 2117639,5 thousand imported.

Export operations increased by 123.02% year-on-year, while import rose by 0.81%. The increase was driven by delivery of equipment, spare parts, products made of ferrous metals, tobacco and other goods.

The goods worth $17746,1 thousand have been exported under the temporary export regime for the past five months while goods worth $153421,8 thousand imported, according to the stats and information technologies department of the State Customs Committee. 3161,8 thousand tons of goods in transit were conveyed via Azerbaijan mainly to Switzerland, Italy, Georgia, Cyprus, Tajikistan, Russia, Iran, Turkmenistan and Turkey.

The amount of goods that passed through the territory of Azerbaijan fell 1430,6 thousand tons year-on-year.

According to the State Customs Committee, 13524,9 tons of the humanitarian cargo and technical aid worth $22673.7 thousand was brought by government and international organizations to Azerbaijan in January-June.
