OHL wins 55.7 mln eur motorway contract in Azerbaijan

Obrascon Huarte Lain SA said its Czech unit OHL ZS has been awarded a 55.7 mln eur contract from the Republic of Azerbaijan government to rebuild a 24-kilometre stretch of motorway from Baku, the country's capital, to the Russian border.

In a statement, the Spanish constructor said the contract is part of the government's plans to improve the country's transportation infrastructure to boost exports, such as those of its abundant gas and oil reserves, AFX reports.
