Main REPO agreement signed between 6 commercial banks

6 commercial banks in Azerbaijan have signed an interbank REPO agreement with "bank-bank" scheme in electron trade system at Baku Stock Exchange (BSE).

The banks are Bank Standard, UniBank, Texnikabank, Kocbank Azerbaijan, Bank of Baku and Azcreditbank.

According to APA, in order to encourage market participators and to improve new tool, BSE Board has decided not temporarily to put dues on these transactions.

Such kind of transactions was organized on May, 24 for the first time in the history of finance market of Azerbaijan. REPO transaction was then made between Bank Standard and UniBank.
