Azenerji keeps talking to European Bank

JSC Azenerji intends to keep talking to European bank for Reconstruction and Development on issuing the credit for recovery of hydroelectrical power plant in Mingachevir.

Earlier Azenerji was going to decline the credit due to its tough terms, in particular increase of tariffs for power supply in the republic, part-by-part issue of credit and insurance. However, significant achievements in the progress of conversations between the bank and Azenerji allow suggest the soon principal agreement and detail discussion starting, JSC officials said.

This week Japanese Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) shall respond on approval of the tender for identification of technical advisor on the project of construction of the second steam-to-gas unit with capacity 400MW at Severnaya power station. JBIC is a creditor for this project. The tender results revealed the victory of Japanese-Finnish TEPSCO-Enprima alliance, with support of Azeri "Globus".

Consultant is suggested to prepare technical specification on the project to serve the base for contractors' tender bids, as well as organize and conduct the tender to identify a general contractor, Trend reports.
