New 50 and 100 manat banknotes to be brought to country

As APA was told by the deputy-director of the Department for the Work with Cash Money of the National Bank of Azerbaijan (NBA) Hajibaba Masimov, so, the process of bringing new banknotes to the country under denomination of the national currency will complete. The NBA's representative also noted that later on, the Bank may bring additional lot of new banknotes for strategic reserves.

It should be noted that at present, coins on 6 nominals (1, 3, 5, 10, 20, 50 coins) and banknotes on 4 nominals (1, 5, 10, and 20 manats) are in circulation in the country. Total volume of new banknotes and coins is AZN 58 million at face-value. The process is ongoing and specific weight of new banknotes in money supply will be 70% in these days.
