Transport Ministry launched licensing cars and lorries

Ministry of Transport began distribution of licenses and distinguishing marks to passenger cars and lorries beginning March 1.

Ziya Mammadov, the minister of transport says new regulations will enable to fight tax-evasion cases, ANS informs.

The price for the license is set 110 AZN and the licenses are given for five years. Besides, car owners will be distributed cards that show tax payments, technical examination validity, etc.

"The government recommends entrepreneurs to replace small busses with big ones to normalize traffic in Baku City," said minister.

According to the minister, the government plans to build 10 bridges and underground tunnels as well. Baku ring road will be constructed in summer.

According to the minister though international finance organizations estimated this project $58m. $49.5m is needed for building extra 5 km road and for increasing of some expanses.

Talking about domestic republican roads the minister said that there were no problems. According to his words if any international financial organization refuses to finance the building works then government will pay for these expenses.
