"One Window" export support center opens to boost country’s export capacity

The Export Support Center "One Window" has been opened in the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC).

Executive Director of the CAERC Vusal Gasimli said that the Center will operate as part of the Azexport portal.

“The center will allow drafting documents and signing agreements in electronic form between the entrepreneurs, who registered as a taxpayer in Azerbaijan and their foreign business partners, as well as the implementation of the cross-border e-services in real-time,” he said during the presentation.

Using one window system in export transaction, entrepreneurs will spend less resources, which will contribute faster implementation of export procedures, Azertac reported citing Gasimli as saying.

"The center provides a number of certificates: the international veterinary certificate required for exported animals, animal products and raw materials; Phytosanitary certificate required for the export of plant and plant products; quality certificate required for the export of food products to European Union countries; the certificate attesting the country of goods' origin; permit (certificate) for the export of Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora; security certificate for the export of cultural valuables; the agreement for the export of religious literature (in paper and electronic formats), audio and video materials, goods (products) and other informational materials of religious content," added the executive director.

The portal azexport.az, integrating with the most popular electronic trading networks, provides information about local Azerbaijani products, being a beneficial platform for sales in foreign and domestic markets.

Being available in the Azerbaijani, Russian and English languages, it acts as a single digital destination for trade, bringing together and connecting local entrepreneurs, international buyers and international investors. The portal offers fast and secure payment to VISA, Master Card and American Express cards owners.

As of today, 92 trademarks of Azerbaijan are protected under the ‘Made in Azerbaijan’ brand, while the country’s total outputs nears  250 kinds of products in food, light, heavy and construction industries. The brand is highly successful in regional and world markets, and Azerbaijan’s local output meets all the necessary standards.

Azerbaijan has trade operations with 137 countries in the first two months of 2017, while it exported goods to 77 countries and imported goods from 132.
