"The Southern Gas Corridor is the 21st century's project. This is now going to Europe, through Albania, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia," former Bosnia and Herzegovina Prime Minister Zlatko Lagumdžija has told AZERTAC.

Speaking about Azerbaijan's role in South-Eastern Europe, the former Premier emphasized that this project will remain as "a monument of wisdom, development and connectivity of the people through economy, because they have reasons to be connected, human beings share the same values of tolerance, multiculturalism, democracy that Europe was about, that Azerbaijan was about, that Bosnia and Herzegovina was about".

Zlatko Lagumdžija also highlighted the significance of the 5th Global Baku Forum: "This year we are witnessing that the Global Baku Forum is year after year growing in a sense of the content, in a sense of the substance. It looks like through the Nizami Ganjavi International Center the forum managed to have a bigger outreach. Series of high level dialogues that Nizami Ganjavi International Center organizes in different parts of the world actually put the different views between Baku forums. The majority of Baku forums become some kind of geopolitical and social Davos Forum."

The former Premier also thanked President Ilham Aliyev for his personal strong support for Bosnia and Herzegovina: "I am grateful to President Ilham Aliyev because he supports Bosnia and Herzegovina in the different projects, especially today at a time of development of economy and dynamics."

Touching upon the tragedies that both countries faced through the history, Zlatko Lagumdžija said: "We have a lot of things in common. We have Srebrenica and Khojaly. We well have the parts of the history which we should never forget. We have to learn from that and we have to share the truth with the rest of the world."
