Market value of the Turkish Petkim petrochemical complex is currently estimated at $2.2 billion. Petkim produces plastic packages, fabrics, detergents, and is the sole Turkish manufacturer of such products, while a quarter of the volume is exported.

Moreover, SOCAR Turkey Enerji earlier announced about its plans of offering Initial Public Offering (IPO) in 2020, as the company is looking to become publicly traded.

Zaur Gahramanov, Company’s General Manager earlier said there is a great interest in shares of SOCAR Turkey Enerji, adding that the utmost objective  is to make it an open company by retaining SOCAR’s majority stake- at least 51 percent, and the rest of the shares will be open to the market
