Three helicopters on sale

AZAL, the biggest Azerbaijani airline and national flag carrier, will put up for sale three helicopters.

The auction will be held on September 14, the State Committee on Property Issues reported. Three helicopters Mi-8 MTV1 of AZAL, produced in 1991 and 1993, will be exhibited for sale at the auction.

Besides Mi-8, AZAL owns several EC155B1, AS332L1 Super Puma, S-92 Helibus, AW139 and AW189 helicopters.

CJSC Azerbaijan Airlines is the flag carrier and largest airline of the country. Based in Baku, adjacent to Heydar Aliyev International Airport, the carrier operates to destinations across Asia, the CIS, Europe and the USA. Currently, the fleet of AZAL includes 28 aircraft, while two new are expected to be delivered soon.
