Azerbaijan, Iraq discuss cooperation

Azerbaijan`s Minister of Communications and High Technologies Ali Abbasov has met outgoing Iraqi ambassador Heydar Shiya Gubeyshi Al-Barrak.

Mr. Abbasov said both sides showed interest and efforts to develop relations in overall fields and these initiatives would be supported in the governmental level. The Minister said there was great potential for further boosting cooperation in the fields of ICT and high technologies and spoke about new directions and future prospects of Azerbaijani-Iraqi relations.

Heydar Shiya Gubeyshi Al-Barrak, in turn, stressed the role of first meeting of Azerbaijan-Iraq Joint Commission on commercial, technical and cultural cooperation in development of cooperation.
