Azerbaijan, Kuwait sign aviation agreement

Azerbaijan and Kuwait signed an aviation agreement, the Kuwaiti press reported on May 21.

The negotiations betweeen the twom parties are aimed to improve air cargo carriage procedures as well as strengthen cooperation in civil aviation and provide maximum comfort of air services.

“The agreement will help to boost commercial cooperation in between a number of airlines from both countries to facilitate passenger traffic. It also includes the exchange of traffic rights, a number of privileges and opportunities to improve the coordination in civil aviation safety," the source said.

Abdul Aziz Al-Farah, the head of the Kuwait Civil Aviation Administration noted this agreement is part of the administration policy directed to strengthen bilateral relations with friendly countries.

“It will help make the first steps towards the implementation of commercial and cargo air travels of the two countries’ airlines,” he said.
