Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan discuss implementation of investment projects

Kyrgyzstan is interested in strengthening cooperation with Azerbaijan in agriculture, Kabar news agency reported on September 10.

Kyrgyzstan's First Vice Prime Minister Taiyrbek Sarpashev met with the president of Azersun Holding Abdulbari Goozal in Baku within the second Kyrgyz-Azerbaijani Intergovernmental commission on trade-economic, scientific technical and cultural cooperation.

During the meeting Sarpashev stressed that the government of Kyrgyzstan is interested in further strengthening cooperation with Azersun Holding and is ready to create all necessary conditions for attracting investments in the processing industry, as well as the introduction of advanced technologies in the production of agricultural products.

"We need to use the opportunities for effective implementation of joint projects in agriculture, production of honey and organic vegetables and fruits", Sarpashev said.

Goozal stressed that Azersun Holding is interested in expanding cooperation with Kyrgyzstan, particularly in agriculture.

"We are ready to continue to cooperate and establish close ties in all areas of agriculture in Kyrgyzstan. Your country has great potential for the development of the agricultural sector ", he said.
