VTB Bank plays leading role in realization of Azerbaijani-Russian cooperation potential

VTB (Azerbaijan) JSC is a model participant of economic life of Azerbaijan, Russia's ambassador in Azerbaijan Vladimir Dorokhin said Sept. 5 at the opening of new branch of the bank in Baku.

He said this was an index of expansion and strengthening of Russian business in Azerbaijan.

"It is a very good event today, and I am very glad to participate in it as an ambassador of the RF," he said. "VTB operates on Azerbaijani market already for more than 5 years and does its work very well by fulfilling all its obligations to stockholders and clients," he noted.

The ambassador said that special relations bring together Azerbaijan and VTB.

"Recently Azerbaijan obtained a part of shares of VTB Bank," he added. "That's why this bank has a major role in realization of potential of Russian-Azerbaijani cooperation, and it copes with it pretty well," Dorokhin noted.

The bank continues to develop its branch network in the country, the chairman of executive committee of VTB Bank (Azerbaijan) Yuriy Yakovlev said.

"We have ambitious plans for the next year. We plan to open branches in Ganja and Sumgait," he noted.

At present, VTB (Azerbaijan) is presented by 10 POPs including Customer service department under the head office and 9 branches (taking into account the one opened today). The branch network of the bank will comprise 20 banks till the end of 2016.

Bank VTB (Azerbaijan) is a subsidiary of VTB Bank. Shareholders of Bank VTB (Azerbaijan) JSC are: VTB Bank JSC and AtaHolding JSC.

Bank VTB (Azerbaijan) provides services to clients of corporate business, small business and private clients.
