Microsoft Azerbaijan and the High-Tech Park of Azerbaijani Communications and High Technologies Ministry signed a memorandum of understanding on Sept. 3.

The Microsoft Azerbaijan Head, Rufat Hajialibeyov told Trend, the memorandum provides for services that are currently being offered to the ministry by Microsoft to be introduced to the park.

"One of them is the creation of Microsoft's IT academy in the technological park, which, in addition to training members of the High-Tech Park, will in the future increase the qualification of employees of other government agencies or commercial organizations," Hajialibeyov said.

The company will also provide additional free software, worth about $50,000 to the start-up companies.

"This is a platform on which the start-ups can develop their own software solutions," Hajialibeyov said.
