The annual summit of the International Transport Forum (ITF) has started today in Leipzig (Germany) to last from May 21 to May 23.
The Azerbaijani delegation at the forum is headed by the country's Transport Minister Ziya Mammadov.
The forum, to be chaired by France, is dedicated to the topic entitled “Transport for a changing world”, Azerbaijan's Transport Ministry said.
Transport ministers, representatives of governments, international organizations, NGOs, scientists and entrepreneurs of a number of countries participate at the summit.
During the forum, it is planned to discuss the issues regarding the creation of high-quality transport networks, the impact of transport on the environment and public health, demography and so on.
