Riyadh will host the first forum on economy and cooperation between Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan and Central Asia countries, ambassador of Saudi Arabia Musaid bin Ibrahim bin Abdullah Al-Salim said.
Azerbaijan will be represented with the delegation the officials of the ministries of foreign affairs and economy and industry, headed by the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov, he said.
"The forum to be held in Riyadh will further strengthen ties between Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia," the ambassador said.
He also noted that it is being considered to permanently hold the event, furthermore the countries held meetings on April 28-29 in preparation for the forum.
The diplomat noted that a number of issues, including the opening of direct flights will be discussed at the forum.
Saudi Arabia is interested in developing relations with Azerbaijan in the field of tourism, Abdullah Al-Salim added.
