Sudan opens arms to Azerbaijani investment

Sudan's State Minister at the Ministry of Oil, Hatim Abul-Gasim, has invited oil companies from Azerbaijan to invest in the oil and natural gas sector in Sudan, the country's bernama.com news website reported on Feb.24.

Hatim Abul-Gasim and the Azerbaijani ambassador to Sudan Shahin Abdullayev discussed the issues of investment in Sudan's economy, according to the website.

The meeting also looked at the possibility of cooperation between the two countries in the oil sector and ways of consolidating bilateral relations, particularly in the economic, natural gas and petroleum sectors.

The state minister welcomed Azerbaijan's desire to cooperate with Sudan and to join the oil investment in the country.

Abdullayev in turn expressed Azerbaijan's desire to cooperate with Sudan in various spheres of economy.
