Azerbaijani-Georgian trade turnover closes to $1.2 billion

The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Georgia amounted to $1.19 billion or 12.3 percent of the total volume of Georgia's foreign trade turnover in Jan.-Nov. 2013, a report on foreign trade of GruzStat (national statistical service of Georgia) said.

The trade turnover between the two countries increased by 3.48 percent compared to the same period of 2012, according to the report. For comparison, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Georgia amounted to $1.15 billion in Jan.-Nov. 2012.

Azerbaijan is the second trade partner of Georgia after Turkey. The trade turnover between Georgia and Turkey amounted to $1.37 billion (specific weight - 14.1 percent) in Jan.-Nov. 2013. Ukraine ranks third for the volume of trade turnover with Georgia during the reporting period ($724.01 million).

The total foreign trade turnover of Georgia increased by 3.53 percent in Jan.-Nov. 2013 compared to the same period of 2012 and amounted to $9.68 billion.
