E-commerce worth 2.3 million registered in Azerbaijan

The State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan (SSC) issued data on online retail turnover for 11 months of 2013.

According to the data issued by the Committee, in January-November of 2013 the volume of consumer goods sold to the population in the retail market amounted to AZN2.3 billion, which is 1.6 times higher than the same period of 2012. Out of the consumer goods purchased by the population in electronic form 83.0 percent was bought on trade networks of legal entities and 17.0 percent was purchased on trade networks of individuals.

In the reporting period, non-food products accounted for 89.6 percent of e-commerce market turnover.
