Baku hosts competition of experts-cynologists of CIS customs bodies

The Cynological Centre of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan has organized the second competition of experts-cynologists of CIS countries customs services.

Besides Azerbaijan, the event gathered together experts-cynologists of customs structures of Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine.

Addressing the opening of the event, Lieutenant General of Customs Services of Azerbaijan Aydin Aliyev spoke about activity of the Azerbaijan`s Cynological Center, saying “it has developed enough.”

According to him, the dogs trained by the Azerbaijani specialists-cynologists help police in Macedonia, Belarus and other countries to patrol streets, examine cargo and automobile cars, buses, luggage, search for drugs and narcocontaining means, explosives and weapons, as well as in criminal investigations. At present, the two specially trained dogs will be presented to the custom officials of the Kyrgyzstan Republic.

The three-day competition will include programs: examination of cargo and automobile cars, buses, luggage and common control of the trained dogs.

The winners will be awarded on September 14.
