Finance Ministry registers government bonds at over $600 mln

The State Securities Committee (SSC) of Azerbaijan on June 6 registered the issue of government bonds of the Ministry of Finance of Azerbaijan totaling 500 million manat, the SSC said on Wednesday.

Five million of government bonds, at 100 manat par value, will be issued. Of these, 1.8 million units are short-term government bonds, 200,000 - medium-term, and three million - government bonds callable for a period of one year.

Under the new rules, approved in May this year, International Securities Identification Number (ISIN) will be assigned for each bond issue by the National Numbering Agency.
