
Azerbaijan and Austria will establish joint working groups to further expand cooperation in energy and industry.
The agreement was reached during the meeting between Deputy Minister of Energy and Industry of Azerbaijan Gulmammad Javadov and Deputy Federal Minister of Transport, Innovation and Technology of Austria Andreas Reyhart held in Baku, spokesman for Ministry of Energy Azer Mensimli told Trend.
"During the meeting the sides discussed issues of cooperation in the energy sector, participation in joint projects. Both sides also held a presentation of their capabilities," Mensimli said.
Mensimli said the Austrian company PORR with 140 years experience in this area and offices in 16 countries, has expressed interest in implementing projects in waste management, construction of hydropower stations and in development of alternative energy sources in Azerbaijan.
