Azerbaijan may export aerated concrete

19 January 2012 [20:28] - TODAY.AZ
The modern materials plant AAC plans to export aerated concrete to the markets of Georgia and Russia, the head of the company's marketing and sales department Vugar Hamidov told media today.

The plant aims at providing the Azerbaijani construction market with materials and exporting them to neighbouring countries such as Russia, Iran and Georgia. This is as a result of great demand for aerated concrete which is likely to continue.

"Today, the plant has not exported the manufactured materials," he said. "However, the negotiations are being held with Georgia and Russia. As this is a new product many people do not know anything about it. But we are getting requests from interested parties."

He said that it will be possible to export the manufactured materials not earlier than the second half of the year. "We have a goal to take six to 10 per cent of the market of masonry building materials in the country", he said.

The modern building materials plant is an enterprise erected using innovative technology. It fully meets modern standards and is equipped with high-tech manufacturing equipment from the well-known German company, Wehrhahn.
