Ukraine ratifies Azerbaijani oil transportation terms

The Verkhovna Rada has adopted the law on ratification of the agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the measures that relate to the development of cooperation in the field of oil transportation through the territory of Ukraine, Ukrinform reported.

According to the document, since the date the agreement enters into force, the Ukrainian party establishes a discount of 50% on the rates of port dues for ships with Azerbaijani oil, which call at the marine oil terminal Yuzhnyi for cargo operations.

Cooperation with Azerbaijan envisages organization of light Azerbaijani oil shipments to Ukraine and its transit through the territory of Ukraine, including in the direction of the Kremenchuk refinery from the port of Odesa; transit in the direction of Mozyr oil refinery (Belarus); transit in the direction of the countries of Central and Eastern Europe (Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic), as well as in the direction of Poland's oil refineries with the use of the Belarusian and Polish sectors of the oil pipeline Druzhba (for the period until completion of the pipeline Brody-Plock).
