Azerbaijan done good job with European Games, Macedonian national team rep says

Ljupcho Damjanovski, the official of the national team of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, says he is very impressed by the organization of the Baku 2015 European Games.

“The organizers, the government of Azerbaijan have done a very good job,” he told Trend in an interview June 23, adding that everything is very well organized.

“I am, as a team official, very happy and can only congratulate the people of Azerbaijan,” Damjanovski said.

Macedonian national team representative also said he is very impressed with the conditions at the Athletes Village.

Damjanovski added that he arrived in Baku yesterday, and did not have time to see the city yet.

“Unfortunately I was not at the opening ceremony [of Baku 2015], but I will stay for the closing ceremony,” he said.

The European Games that kicked off June 12, will last till June 28. There is a total of 20 sports at Baku 2015: 16 Olympic sports and four non-Olympic sports.

More than 6,000 athletes from across Europe came to Baku to represent their nations over 17 days of competition. Baku was awarded the games by the European Olympic Committees (EOC) in December 2012.
