Water polo competitions start in Baku

The matches of the third round of the competitions in water polo among men (C and D groups) started as part of Baku’s first European Games June 15.

The national teams of Montenegro and Turkey, ranking third and fourth, will compete in C group.
The national team of Montenegro has one point, while Turkey - zero points.

Serbia ranking second with three points in D group will compete with outsider Malta, having zero points.

The European Games that kicked off in Baku June 12, will last till June 28.

There is a total of 20 sports at Baku 2015: 16 Olympic sports and four non-Olympic sports. More than 6,000 athletes from across Europe will be representing their nations over 17 days of competition.

Baku was awarded the games by the European Olympic Committees (EOC) in December 2012.
