Ten countries secure six Archery spots each for Baku 2015

Ten countries have each secured three men's and three women's Archery spots for the Baku 2015 European Games.

Belarus, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Spain, Turkey and Ukraine all earned three quota places per gender for Baku 2015 during the European Grand Prix in Marathon. The competition in Greece was the last qualifying tournament for the European Games. Baku 2015 host country Azerbaijan also has three spots for both men and women.

Slovenia and Norway both grabbed three men's spots for Baku 2015 while Denmark, Georgia, Great Britain, Greece and Switzerland each earned three quota places in the women's competition.

To round out the men's field for Baku 2015, these are the following countries with one quota place each: Armenia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Great Britain, Greece, Ireland, Israel, Latvia, Luxembourg, Moldova, Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland, Iceland (Universality place), Kosovo (Universality place) and Serbia (Universality place).

The women's field is completed by the following countries, all with one quota spot: Armenia, Austria, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, Ireland, Kosovo, Latvia, Moldova, Norway, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Sweden and Lithuania (Universality place).

The individual awards in Marathon were dominated by Italy as a trio of Italians finished on the podium in the women's Recurve. Claudia Mandia won the competition with Sara Violi taking second and Guendalina Sartori grabbing third place.

The men's Recurve was won by Ukraine's two-time Olympian Markiyan Ivashko while Italian David Pasqualucci and Marco Morello claimed silver and bronze respectively. The men's Recurve team was won by Belarus while Netherlands picked up the silver and Ukraine the bronze.

Georgia won the women's Recurve team gold with Greece claiming the silver and Italy the bronze.

Ukraine captured gold in the Recurve mixed team - which will be competed at Baku 2015 - with Great Britain winning the silver and Georgia securing the bronze.
